As announced at the AGM your Committee have decided to refurbish the lounge which includes the taking out of the dividing wall. Please bear with us during this time, work is now under way.
Our Caterers have been awarded five stars by the Scarborough Council Health and Safety who dropped in on them last week for an inspection. Their cleanliness and procedures were found to be first class – we agree.
Well done to Ron and Jackie and please come up and enjoy their food and service.
Our thanks to David Roberts our long serving Secretary for his work on behalf of the club – he retires on the 1st January 2012. His successor is Shaun Smith a past captain of the club and who we feel will be an able replacement in his position, please give him your support.
Greenkeeping Staff - Toll Harrington who has been with us for many many years is winding down to retire shortly, he will be replaced by Victor Southwart who will be trained in all aspects of Greenkeeping.
The £50 addition to swipecard for drink and food - this proposal was passed at the recent AGM. Any questions/queries on this please ask the Secretary, there is a Q & A sheet available to answer some of the points that were raised.
Ladies Coffee Morning – this was again a great success and was well supported and has added greatly to the ladies funds for the coming year, Well done for all your hard work and thank you to all who attended.
Compared to last year at this time, when we were covered in snow, we have managed to get all our planned activities in so far ! Captain’s Drive In’s and all Ladies and Gentlemans festive golf events have taken place, plus all our clutch dinners and Children’s Christmas Party. This can only be good for the club and all things concerned with it. Above all - the members – you – are really enjoying it which is what this club is all about.
